MEET THE TEAM
Tony Peterson
Vice President
Tony has been a part of the Morcon team for more than 19 years, leading operations for the past four. Under Tony's leadership, Morcon has continued to build their reputation in the local construction market as a firm that always puts integrity first. Tony’s positive energy and drive extend beyond the world of construction. He is a down-to-earth family man, husband and father of four boys. When he's not busy coaching Andover Youth Hockey, he enjoys traveling and upland bird hunting.
Joe Montgomery
Vice President
With Morcon for more than 30 years, Joe is Morcon’s airport/baggage handling/distribution project lead. His appetite for innovation paired with big picture thinking has allowed Morcon to expand providing TSA equipment solutions. Creating a better way to handle baggage, Joe's systems have helped more than 30 airports worldwide to increase their efficiency by an average of 54%. As a natural people person, Joe's favorite part of his job isn't all business. Helping motivate and mentor younger project staff, encouraging and supporting them through knowledge, opportunity, and growth is really where Joe's passion lies.
Jeff Roerick
Project Manager & Estimator
Managing through the unique challenges that each project brings and working as part of a great team to bring success to the company are Jeff’s favorite aspects of being a project manager at Morcon. Starting in the construction field in high school it has always been something that interests him. Outside of work Jeff loves to golf, hunt, fish, play hockey and spend time with his family.
Jason Preusser
Project Manager & Estimator
With a focus on community facilities, Jason has been an integral part of a number of noteworthy Morcon projects for clients including the MSP International Airport, Metropolitan Council, Metro Valley Transit, and Osseo School District. Raised by a carpenter and growing up around the trades, Jason is passionate about using his knowledge and management skills to support his team in the field. His in-depth understanding of multiple trades allows him to effectively manage cost and schedule while fostering meticulous attention to detail and high quality craftsmanship. When not on the job site or in the office, Jason is a husband and father, outdoorsman and all around good guy.
Shawn Olson
Project Manager & Estimator
From laborer to superintendent to his current role as an estimator and project manager, it’s his passion and ambition that truly make Shawn an inspirational project leader. His devotion to his work is demonstrated daily through his exceptional responsiveness to both clients and project team members. When you need him, he is always there. Outside of work Shawn enjoys staying busy with many home projects and his family.
Tony Hall
Project Manager - Concrete Division
Tony loves managing technically complex projects that involve lots and lots of concrete. From sidewalks to major parking structures, Tony's range of expertise in concrete construction allows him to properly price projects of all sizes, helping not only win work, but delivering it with a close-eye on every last detail. A seasoned project manager, Tony understands what both the client and his crew needs to be successful. His clients trust him to deliver a high-quality product on-time and on-budget. His team trusts him to lead with authenticity, creativity and respect for the work. When not working, Tony enjoys spending time with his family outdoors—hunting, fishing and playing hockey.
Chad Tjepkes
Project Manager & Estimator
Chad takes a big picture approach on his projects by focusing on how all of the pieces of a facility work together, making him a master at orchestrating and managing complex projects, and lots of them. As one of our go-to project manager for the USPS, Chad worked on more than 40 service projects, last year alone. Coordinating a fast-paced schedule, managing many moving parts, and working with various project stakeholders are some of the things Chad loves about his job. When not working, Chad is most likely staying busy boating, golfing, hunting, or fishing with his two kids at their cabin up north.
Collin LaFrance
Project Manager & Estimator
Beginning at a young age, Collin worked for his family's construction company where he learned that "no one can make you successful, the will to succeed comes from within." Bringing this strong work ethic to Morcon, Collin has proven to be a dedicated team player, willing to do whatever it takes to make a project successful. And with nine siblings, it's no wonder he's also a natural people person. When not inspiring camaraderie on the job site or in the office, Collin is most likely outside—hunting, fishing, or cruising around on his four wheeler, snowmobile, or motorcycle.
Mason Blees
Project Manager & Estimator
Expect the best, plan for the worst and be prepared to be surprised. With a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management and his intuitive decision making skills Mason has become a proven asset to the team. Armed with his knowledge of construction, CAD and LEED Building, his effective communication and results driven approach his potential has no limits. You can find Mason outdoors fishing, hunting or trail riding when he is not traveling experiencing new cultures.
Lynsey Sahli
HR Manager
Lynsey has loved helping people from an early age and wanted a career where she could make a positive difference, armed with her hard-working approachable attitude she has become an important part of Morcon's management. Being creative and organized, Lynsey's moto is Live life, learn lessons, and take in the good each day. Outside of work you will find Lynsey spending time up north with friends and family or working on home renovation projects.
Carol Higgins
Receptionist
Friendly, organized, and a wiz at multi-tasking, Carol is the woman who keeps things going around the office. For more than 10-years, Carol has brought a positive attitude, paired with a calm and patient demeanor, allowing her to successfully work with a variety of personalities, making her a perfect fit for each of the many roles she plays at Morcon Construction. When not working, Carol enjoys traveling with her siblings (she has 16!) and visiting with her family.
Dawn Wilkins
Compliance & Safety Coordinator
Prior to joining Morcon, Dawn served in the U.S. Air Force for four-years, where she worked in their telecommunications center. After her service was over, Dawn started a career in IT where she gained exposure and experience working with a handful of various software types on varying platforms across multiple industries. Shortly after the 2008 recession hit, Dawn joined the Morcon team where she eventually took on the huge responsibility of coordinating project compliance and safety.
Chris Neisen
Service Coordinator
With a knack for technology, Chris' knowledge and skill have advanced Morcon's technical processes, helping to maximize efficiencies in both the field and office. His favorite projects revolve around implementing process improvements to push the envelop and take the firm to the next level. When not pursuing greatness, depending on the season, you can find Chris either riding his bike around the Twin Cities or playing hockey.
Minga Miller
Technology Manager
Working in construction administration for a majority of her career, Minga is drawn to working with teams to find solutions that effectively overcome challenges. It's the process that inspires her. She loves seeing ideas come together and take shape that bring value to the community. Her work smarter vs work harder approach means she's a strategic thinker that keeps the entire company organized, efficient, and performing at a high-level. When not at the office, Minga and her family enjoy spending time outdoors, up north and at sporting events.
Kim Erickson
Senior Project Coordinator
Both personally and professionally, Kim is an eager team player always looking for ways to advance her knowledge and grow her expertise. As a wife and mother, Kim appreciates working for a firm that respects its employees. And lucky for us, that means our project teams are backed by a talented and considerate go-getter. When not working, Kim enjoys spending time with family, attending church, staying active outdoors, and traveling.
Kellie Syhre
Senior Project Coordinator
Always ready to face a new challenge, Kellie is a driven and fun loving construction administrative professional. Her ability to quickly assess a situation and adapt to new circumstances allows her to excel at any task handed to her. Whether it be reviewing submittals for a complex multi-family housing facility or developing new training procedures to support her internal team, Kellie's attention to detail is second-to-none. During her free time, Kellie can be found visiting one of Minnesota's many local parks with her husband and two doberman pinschers. When not out and about she likes to read and watch "The Office".
Megan Hendrickson
Project Coordinator
The ultimate team player, with a Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Megan is someone you can rely on in any situation. Her good attitude and ability to get along with everyone allow her to build relationships with project team members, setting her up for unlimited success. Megan's ambitions don't end with construction as she also manages a lawn mowing business, enjoys traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Mark Jordan
General Superintendent
Mark has been our Safety Director for the past 11 years, ensuring a safe working environment allowing the crews to provide their best work knowing they are not in danger. The challenges of construction and going on site visits are his favorite parts of the job. His friendly, outgoing, hardworking attitude ensure he is someone who will solve any issues that pop up. Mark loves being a grandparent, and can be found fishing, hunting, four wheeling, snowmobiling, or gardening when not at work.
