The 1,670 SF remodel of TUMI’s Mall of America store created a polished retail environment with new tile, custom millwork, shelving, a cashwrap, lighting, security and updated back-of-house spaces. To keep the retailer open during construction, Morcon first prepared a temporary store across the hall, then demolished and rebuilt the permanent space in nine weeks. Careful coordination and close attention to the high-end finishes helped TUMI return to its permanent location sooner, reducing time and costs in the temporary space while delivering the quality the brand and its customers expect.
