Minga Miller Promoted to Administrative Director

Minga Miller HeadshotWe are proud to announce the promotion of Minga Miller to Administrative Director. A dynamic and dedicated team member, Miller brings nearly two decades of experience, deep institutional knowledge, and a passion for innovation to her expanded leadership role.

Miller’s journey with Morcon Construction began in the mid-2000s as an operations facilitator. After stepping away to focus on her family, she returned in 2015 as a project coordinator, quickly proving herself as an invaluable asset. Over the years, she’s taken on a range of responsibilities including technology, HR, and marketing—playing a pivotal role in streamlining internal systems and strengthening team operations.

“What originally attracted me to Morcon was the opportunity to collaborate with a company I had respected from my time as a conceptual estimator at Best Buy,” said Miller. “Working alongside general contractors, including Morcon, helped me appreciate their integrity and work ethic. Joining them just made sense.”

In her new role, Miller will continue to oversee the company’s technology infrastructure, including partnerships with third-party IT consultants, software management, cybersecurity, and internal help desk operations. Additionally, she will lead efforts in Human Resources and Marketing, helping ensure the right people are in the right roles and that the company’s operations align with its strategic goals.

“Minga has always approached her work with a problem-solving mindset,” stated Tony Peterson, president of Morcon Construction. “Her ability to improve systems and enhance productivity, while caring deeply about the people around her makes this promotion both well-earned and incredibly exciting for our future.”

Among her notable accomplishments, Miller spearheaded a successful website relaunch, improved technology lifecycle management, and has initiated team-building and recognition events. She’s especially proud of fostering greater efficiency and collaboration across departments.

Looking ahead, Miller is driven by the opportunity to build systems that streamline work, support well-being, and foster a culture where people can truly thrive. By prioritizing efficiency, embracing technology, and promoting work-life balance, she aims to remove barriers and empower others to be their best. “I want to make sure our team can do their best work without hiccups—when they succeed, we all succeed.”

Outside of Morcon, Miller stays active in the community by serving on the Board of Directors for the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Twin Cities, supporting Second Harvest Heartland, and volunteering as an Association Member with Twin Cities in Motion, where she helps plan year-round events and activities for thousands of runners, including marathon weekend. With her children now in college, she’s found even more time to give back. Her son, Parker, is studying computer science at the University of Minnesota, while her daughter, Signe, is pursuing environmental studies.

Miller offers simple yet powerful advice for anyone looking to grow in the construction industry: “Find something you love. When your work aligns with your skills and passions, success follows naturally.” Morcon is proud to have leaders like Minga Miller shaping its future—leaders who understand that at the heart of great construction are great people.
