Morcon Awarded Maintenance Facility Renovation and Expansion Project for Major Aviation Partner
Morcon is proud to announce that we have been awarded a significant new project for a major aviation partner.
The project includes a comprehensive interior renovation and expansion of an existing engine shop facility, totaling approximately 25,000 square feet of interior improvements. Major upgrades include:
- Reconfigured restrooms and locker rooms
- Expanded office space and a new mezzanine level
- Conversion of existing test cells into shop areas
- Addition and relocation of multiple bridge cranes to support evolving operational needs
To further improve logistics and workflow efficiency, the project also includes a new 11,900-square-foot shipping and receiving addition, designed to support the movement, staging, and servicing of large-format equipment. This new space will integrate a dedicated shipping/receiving zone alongside a flexible staging and shop area.
Additional site improvements will support safe and secure daily operations, including modifications to existing access points, upgraded fencing, and a new vehicle gate to accommodate a revised secure boundary line. Roof access safety will also be enhanced with the removal of outdated ladders and installation of new access stair systems.
With an approximate contract value of $10 million, this multi-year project delivers important improvements to essential operational infrastructure for one of the industry’s most prominent aviation leaders. Work is scheduled for completion in Q4 2026.
