The Plaza was a complete transformation and refurbishment of a deteriorating courtyard, including the removal of all pre-existing concrete, landscaping, and timeworn soil to make way for a new conservation Plaza. The creation of the Plaza as a new green roof for the parking garage below allowed for more natural airflow and a long-lasting structure. This environmentally sound design increases natural lighting, nature preservation, and community engagement. Most importantly, this configuration contains a new state of the art waterproofing system, built unique for the space. Fresh landscaping included new shrubs, walkways, decorative trellises, and fencing.
