Offering year-round indoor swimming, a first for the park system, the new aquatic center brings the Phillips neighborhood a much needed community resource. The project included the addition of a new shallow pool for the “Learn to Swim” program, which is connected to a renovated 6-lane competition size pool for more advanced swimmers, restoration of the upper-level viewing mezzanine and updates to the existing locker room. New building systems were installed meeting MN B3 Sustainability Guidelines. The project was performed while keeping the existing community center fully operational.
